Gāja ilgāk, nekā cerēts, bet nu tas brīdis būs pienācis: aicinām uz īpašiem svētkiem Limbiķu kapos šī gada 19. maijā! Sanāksim kopā pie jaunuzstādītās statujas, lai svinētu Jēzus solījumu – dot atvieglinājumu visiem, kas ir nospiesti un bēdīgi. Šajā dienā būs piepildījusies mācītāja Mārtiņa Urdzes pēdējā vēlēšanās.
Svētku oficiālajā daļā tēlnieks Ojārs Feldbergs iepazīstinās ar Jēzus statujas tapšanas gaitu un mācītājs Jirgens Filipss (Vācija) dalīsies ar pārdomām par Bībeles pantu, kas ir ieceres pamatā:
“Nāciet šurp pie Manis visi, kas esat bēdīgi un grūtsirdīgi. Es jūs gribu atvieglināt.” (Mat. 11:28)
Īpaša vieta tiks dota cilvēkiem, kuriem šis piemineklis ir veltīts – visiem, kas jūtas noskumuši, izmisuši, vientuļi, pazuduši.
Atklāšanu noslēgsim, izsakot pateicību visiem tiem, kas palīdzēja īstenot šo projektu, un izlūdzoties Dieva svētību tālākai gaitai.
Svētku turpinājumā pabūsim kopā pie uzkodām un atspirdzinājumiem.

Es hat länger gedauert als erhofft, aber nun ist es soweit: Am 19. Mai laden wir herzlich ein zu einem besonderen Fest auf dem Friedhof von Limbiki! Lasst uns an diesem Ort zusammenkommen und Jesus‘ Zusage feiern, dass er allen Menschen, die traurig und schweren Herzens sind, Trost und Erleichterung schenken will. An diesem Tag wird Martins letzter Wunsch in Erfüllung gehen.
Es wird ein buntes Programm mit Musik, Andacht, Ansprachen, einem Picknick und vielem mehr.
Während des offiziellen Teils der Feierlichkeiten wird der Bildhauer Ojārs Feldbergs seine Gedanken zur Entstehung des Jesus-Denkmals darlegen, und Pfarrer Jürgen Philipps wird über den Bibelvers reflektieren, der im Mittelpunkt dieses Projekts steht:
„Kommet her zu mir alle, die ihr mühselig und beladen seid. Ich will euch erquicken.“ (Mat.11, 28)
Besonderen Raum sollen die Menschen bekommen, denen diese Statue gewidmet ist – all denen, die sich traurig, verzweifelt, einsam und verloren fühlen.
Zum Abschluss des ersten Teils möchten wir all jenen danken, die zur Verwirklichung dieses Projekts beigetragen haben, und um Gottes Segen bitten.
Danach laden wir Euch zu einem geselligen Beisammensein mit Snacks und Erfrischungen ein.

—Inauguration of the Jesus statue at the Limbiķi Cemetery on May 19, 12:00
It took longer than we had hoped, but the moment has finally arrived: We invite you to a special celebration at the Limbiķi cemetery on 19 May this year! We will gather at the newly installed statue to celebrate Jesus’ promise to bring relief to all who are heavy-hearted and sad. On that day, pastor Mārtiņš Urdze’s last wish will be fulfilled.
During the official part of the celebration, sculptor Ojārs Feldbergs will share his thoughts on the creation of the Jesus monument, and Pastor Jürgen Philipps (Germany) will reflect on the Bible verse that is at the core of this project.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Special attention will be given to the people to whom this monument is dedicated – to all those who feel sad, desperate, lonely, lost.
We will close the unveiling by thanking all those who have helped to make this project a reality and by asking for God’s blessing.
