Vēlamies jūs informēt, ka Jēzus statujas atklāšanas svētki, kas bija paredzēti 26. augustā, tiek pārcelti uz 2024. gada pavasari.
Statujas kalšanas gaitā radās dažādi sarežģījumi, kā rezultātā nevaram būt droši, ka izdosies to uzstādīt laikā. Negribam, lai tas notiktu sasteigti un rezultātā ciestu kvalitāte, kā arī mums ir svarīgi, lai šajos svētkos varam pulcēties pie pabeigta pieminekļa.
Paliek spēkā, ka Jēzus statuja drīzumā tiks uzstādīta Limbiķu kapos, kur jau notiek pieminekļa vietas sagatavošanas darbi. Aicinām Jūs tur rudenī piestāt, kad ceļš ved gar Grobiņu! Savukārt lielos atklāšanas svētkus svinēsim nākamā gada maijā, kad statujai būs bijis laiks nedaudz “ieaugt” jaunajā mājvietā.
Par pieminekļa uzstādīšanas tālāko gaitu ziņosim vietnē: martins.urdze.lv. Bet atklāšanas svētku jauno datumu Jums paziņosim 2024. gada sākumā.

Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,
wir müssen Euch leider darüber informieren, dass das Einweihungsfest der Jesus-Statue, das wir am 26.August feiern wollten, ins Frühjahr 2024 verschoben ist.
Im letzten Teil des Entstehungsprozesses kam es zu verschiedenen Komplikationen und es ist unsicher, ob die Statue rechtzeitig fertig geworden wäre. Wir möchten nicht, dass fehlende Zeit die Qualität beeinträchtigt. Für uns ist es wichtig, dass wir dann zusammen kommen, wenn wirklich alles sorgsam fertiggestellt ist.
Es ist sehr schade, dass dieses Fest, auf das wir gewartet und auf das wir uns vorbereitet haben, nun noch nicht stattfinden kann. Auch viele von Euch hatten sich schon in Gedanken mitgefreut und einige auch die Teilnahme geplant.
Es bleibt bestehen, dass die Jesus-Statue in nächster Zeit auf dem Friedhof Limbiķi aufgestellt wird. Sollte Euer Weg also im Herbst an Grobiņa vorbeiführen, werdet Ihr sie schon sehen können. Das geplante Fest wollen wir dann im nächsten Mai feiern, wenn die Statue schon ein wenig heimisch an diesem besonderen Ort geworden ist.
Über die weiteren Entwicklungen halten wir Euch über die Hompage martins.urdze.lv auf dem Laufenden. Das konkrete Datum der Einweihung schicken wir anfang des Jahres 2024 rund.

Dear friends!
We must inform you that the inauguration of the Jesus statue in the Limbiķi Cemetery, which was scheduled for August 26, has been postponed until the spring of 2024.
The carving of the statue experienced a number of difficulties, as a result of which we cannot be sure that it will be installed on time. We do not want to rush the process and have the quality of the work suffer; and it is also important for us that we can gather for this celebration in front of a completed monument.
It is still the case that the statue of Jesus will soon be installed in the Limbiķi Cemetery, where preparation work is already underway. If you pass the town of Grobiņa this autumn, stop by! But the inauguration festivities will be held in May of next year, after the statue has had some time to “grow into” its new surroundings.
We will keep you posted on martins.urdze.lv about the further progress of the monument’s installation, and we will let you know the new date of the inauguration celebration in early 2024.
